Pizza Hut has not changed.
Recently I decided to stop by a Pizza Hut for dinner.
Low and behold some things seem to never change when I entered. The same old arcade games still available. The same Big Choice Crane game with crappy prizes in the corner. Some things you would expect to be gone or updated were not and still a pleasant nostalgic surprise. As I was seated in a booth I was given a plate before the food had arrived. At a glance the plate caught my eye due to its distinct wear and tear.
I investigated further to find on the back of the plate the year it was manufactured.

Well I do not see how Pizza Hut can be a hurting franchise during this recession when their overhead must be little to none due to the age of the plate. After seeing the year of the plate I decided to evaluate the silverware and upholstery of the booth while I waited. To my surprise they would be justifiably as old by the style and wear from my observations. So the real question arises does Pizza Hut ever replace or update anything after initial construction? I do not know whether to be disgusted that I am going to eat off a plate that is over 25 years old that probably over a million people have eaten off of or impressed that the plate survived this long.
